John Hunter Children’s Hospital Kids Club raise $2million dollars for sick kids of the Hunter

When the John Hunter Children’s Hospital was first established, it was the Kids Club that rallied the community to provide much-needed funds to help make the hospital environment much more child friendly.

Some 14 years later and the John Hunter Children’s Hospital Kids Club is still tirelessly raising funds for sick kids of the Hunter.

On Wednesday 2 April 2008, Kids Club will thank and recognise the fundraising efforts of their key partners and announce the amazing achievement of reaching $2million in fundraised monies.

Kids Club and their partners’ efforts over that time have significantly contributed to the purchases of equipment as well as supporting services that enhance a child’s experience within the Hospital setting.

Dr Nigel Lyons, Chief Executive Hunter New England Area Health Service will join with Kaleidoscope’s Senior Executives, Professor Trish Davidson and Mrs Pat Marks as well as staff of the John Hunter Children’s Hospital to celebrate this milestone.

Media are welcome to join the celebration.

When: Wednesday, 2 April (tomorrow) at 9:00am to 10:00am

Where: NBN Telethon Telehealth Centre, John Hunter Campus, Lookout Road, New Lambton.
