The Northern Paediatric Physician Training Network
offers our Paediatric trainees excellent clinical training, experience
and many career opportunities. Lifestyle in the Hunter Region
provides the benefits of a large city without the traffic congestion.
The sites that are part of the Northern Paediatric
Network are:
Paediatric specialities available in our Network
are:
- Allergy
and Immunology
- Respiratory
- Oncology
- Neurology
- Endocrinology
- NICU
- Community Paediatrics
- Emergency Medicine
Outpatient clinics occur weekly for all specialities
including Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Cardiology.

College requirements
- A Network Director of Paediatric Physician
Training (NDPPT) to lead and develop the program across each
network
- A Network Education Support Officer (ESO)
to assist the NDPPT organise and administer the Network Training
Program
- Stream Co-ordinators to co-ordinate training
opportunities in basic and advanced training across NSW within
the stream
- Trainees also have access to protected teaching
time
- Excellent pass rate for FRACP exams
- Skills and Simulation Centre
- Close links with University of Newcastle
