Pharmacy Services

The John Hunter Hospital Pharmacy Department procures, dispenses and distributes medicines for hospital patients. It also manufactures medicines, manages clinical drug trials, reviews prescribing practices, educates medical and nursing staff and counsels patients.

Eligibility criteria:	Inpatients and Public Patients seen at John Hunter Clinics
Disabled access:	The department is located on Level 2, the street level, of JHH and hence if someone is in a wheelchair they can access the front counter of the dispensary - albeit the counter is above the height of the wheelchair. The department front counter is to be modified in the near future and will be a better design for improved disabled access.
