Play Therapy

A community-funded initiative, which provides recreation for the well being of, hospitalised children (0-18 yrs). Coordinated by the hospital's Play Specialist, the program is assisted by a dedicated team of volunteers. Where appropriate, the Play Specialist may also provide: medical play to inform children and parents about procedures and to help diminish anxiety associated with them; and diversional treatment for children whilst undergoing procedures.
