Belmont District Health Service

Belmont Hospital is a 128 bed facility incorporating a 75 bed acute facility with services including: general medicine, general surgery, day surgery, CCU, gynaecology and a 24-hour emergency department as well as physiotherapy, social work, dietetics, speech pathology and occupational therapy.

Radiology and pathology services are provided by Hunter New England Health. Medical Services are provided by Visiting Medical Officers, CMOs in the emergency department, registrars and resident medical officers.

Other services on the Belmont campus include Belmont Birthing service, Drug and Alcohol Clinical Service: Lakeview Detoxification Service (LDS), 20 Bed Short Term Resident Accommodation Service (STRAS), East Lakes Dementia service, Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Diabetes Education.

Hours: 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Referral needed: Yes - a referral from a general practitioner is required.
Eligibility criteria: Children between 0-18 years old are accepted.
